The Julia Robinson Mathematics Festival (JRMF) seeks to inspire joy in mathematics through collaboration, exploration, and discovery. To this end, the Julia Robinson Mathematics Festival engages students and educators through festive events — both in person and online — and makes concerted efforts to reach and support all populations. Moreover, the Julia Robinson Mathematics Festival prides itself in the quality, accessibility, and richness of its educational materials.

Since its first mathematics festival at Google’s headquarters in 2007, the Julia Robinson Mathematics Festival has supported hundreds of local hosts in organizing events that engage K–12 students and their teachers. Events have taken place in 26 states, 17 countries, and 6 continents. JRMF continues to grow and evolve.

At the Julia Robinson Mathematics Festival events, students thrive as they think deeply and critically, exploring the richness and beauty of mathematics. More importantly, JRMF activities address all students, from those struggling with mathematics to those soaring in achievement. Motivation comes from the social interaction and cooperative atmosphere, and from the satisfaction of understanding the mathematics itself, rather than from any prize, grade, or ranking. Additionally, JRMF events also build communities by bringing together institutions and organizations as their constituents celebrate mathematics.

美国茱莉亚罗宾逊数学嘉年华活动是一项深受美国人民喜爱的数学思维活动，中小学生和成年人都积极参与这项活动。顾名思义，数学嘉年华以轻松好玩的数学游戏，来引导学生发现和体验数学之美。同学们在友好合作的氛围里，共同探索轻松有趣且令人深思的数学问题，从而锻炼创造性思维和团队协作的能力。美国很多顶尖的大学，包括斯坦福大学、伯克利大学等每年都举办茱莉亚罗宾逊数学嘉年华活动。

数学嘉年华活动的游戏题目深入浅出，"低门槛、高上限 (low-threshold, high-ceiling)"，题目看似简单，人人都可以看懂题目，很容易上手，但是题目有很纵深的拓展空间，可以延伸为一系列的主题，不少题目甚至可以延伸到 Open Problems (就是现在数学界悬而未解的问题)。数学嘉年华活动着重培养学生的数学思维能力(不是死记硬背的能力)，包括找规律、抽象、归纳、逻辑思维、严格的数学证明等。不同年龄和数学背景的学生都可以感受到解题和探索带来的乐趣。

数研汇(Magic Math Circle)从2017年起在北京、上海、广州、长沙、成都、苏州等多个城市开展数学嘉年华活动，深受学生和老师的欢迎和喜爱。
